For surf casting for Striped bass on the coast of Maine - it is all I'll ever need. I've looked at the others and there are some other strong brands on the market but I'll only go Penn and the 750ss Spinfisher holds up well becasue... "I'm rough on things".

I think This reel is one of the best Reels in the fishing market. This one is made in USA. Bought it Used on ebay, but it can take a big game easily. Marlin on 25lbs line a piece of cake. Just Look for Made USA. Not Outside USA made. Not Pro But it did the work.

These reels have been the standard for big fish for a long time..and there is a reason why..Thy continue to work day after day year after year. After looking all over the web Amazon has the best deal on these period...Shame they are not made in the U.S.A. though anymore.
